Black, gold and colorful wedding: Calgary wedding planner
Gillian and Bino came to me looking for Complete Wedding Planning & Design. Gillian wanted to have creative input, but needed someone to manage the whole event as she and Bino lead busy lives. Their wedding vision included bright colour and lots of fun, but they also wanted elegance and some restrained glamour. Gillian and Bino are talented soccer players, and soccer is a big part of their lives. We worked together to develop a vibrant wedding with hints of their passion for soccer. While soccer is not usually be associated with weddings, I tried to incorporate it in small ways. You can see hints of their favourite sport in their engagement photos, which doubled as table numbers, and their “numbers” on Gillian’s bouquet.

In addition to being a Calgary wedding planner, Evelyn Clark Weddings love developing wedding designs to tell your wedding story. I was very excited about the floral concept for this wedding. The vibrant colours, the cattleya orchids that Gillian fell in love with, and the idea of giving each bridesmaid her own style of bouquet (the groomsmen matched) was fun and unique.

Both Gillian and Bino were really excited about a sweet table. They knew their guests would love it! We had a lot of fun with this design, making it whimsical and colourful. The guests devoured everything, digging in right away…and I am pretty sure the little flower girls had their fill of the cupcakes!

Guests were waving their napkins in the air as the newlyweds walked in the room — it felt like a rowdy soccer match!

Gillian and Bino’s First Dance was accompanied by a custom fireworks show, coordinated with their First Dance song. How awesome is that? This was really dazzling and something different for guests to experience at a wedding.

The MC, Nathan, was a pro. I was informed that Nathan has been the MC for several weddings, and I could see why. He kept on schedule and got the guests involved with fun ideas like asking for soccer chants to get Gillian and Bino to kiss. Nathan, you were absolutely charming, and did such a great job.
