Perhaps I’m biased since chartreuse cymbidium orchids are one of my favourite flowers, but I chose this beautiful bouquet for its cheery colour, the interesting use of organza ribbon and the very neat, tight composition of orchids and calla lilies.

Don’t forget to talk to your floral designer about the shape of your bouquet as well as how tight (or not tight) you want the arrangement to be. This bouquet in particular is created in a tight arrangement, where each flower is more or less even with each other throughout, creating a very tidy look. If you are dreaming of a looser, more casual arrangement, then make sure your floral designer is aware of your desires.

It may sound like common sense to talk about these issues, but you would be surprised by how easy it is to forget to mention certain details to your florist because you have stored a specific vision in your head for so long. Every floral designer works differently, so if you are pickier about your arrangement (and there is nothing wrong with that), make sure you speak up!
