It was actually a little difficult for me to pick an all-red bouquet because red for decor is not something I usually gravitate towards.

A great red dress? Sure. Red lipstick? Even better.

However, I realize that red is a very luscious colour when it comes to wedding design and floral design. Look at these beautiful deep red roses and bright, happy red dahlias with some mini calla lilies thrown in for dimension.

Sweet Stylings Tip
To be very honest, I really did not know what a dahlia was when I first started learning about flowers and floral design, and neither do many of the brides I work with.  Now I know that Dahlias are fun flowers that come in many, many colours (they are in season in Fall) and have a full, round shape with texture to fill up your bouquet.  I especially like that dahlias can work for softer, elegant arrangements as well as really tight and modern arrangements like in this photo.  And now you know about dahlias too!
