Simple DIY wedding project

I was catching up on some of my favourite blogs when I came across a really unique post from Me Oh My!

Blogger Nicole Davis created this cute, rustic-meets-modern-in-its-simplicity piece of DIY art for her home, and I thought: “this would be a nice personal touch in a wedding!”.

me oh my diy painted wood art

Nicole used lyrics from “You and I” by Ingrid Michaelson, but you could use whatever lyrics/phrases meaningful to you and your loved ones.

Place a different small piece at each table or create a giant one to lean against a wall for a piece with major impact (this would be especially cool at a venue like an art gallery); afterward, these pieces could be placed around your home as keepsake items. If quotes or song lyrics are not your thing, than simply use this idea for table numbers and any other signage at your wedding.

This is a simple DIY project that you can do fairly quickly for an event or simply for home decor — just make sure you have a steady enough hand to paint the words, or grab someone with really unique handwriting! Please click here to see the step-by-step process of creating your own wood-stained painting.

And, I’ll leave you with this…
