Has this happened to you? You go to a store specifically to pick up a few things and end up finding inspiration all around you.

I love it when this happens, and it happened specifically during a recent trip to IKEA. I was shopping for some office items, hoping to get a quick in-and-out trip during my day, and I ended up getting sucked into the displays and knick knacks that make IKEA so addicting sometimes!

Take a look at these little guys — they would be so pretty with a flower bud for a touch of spring in a wedding.

I love the idea of hanging these and filling them with flowers like in this photo from Apartment Therapy (bonus points for using a pretty ribbon):



The blues and greens of these pretty glass vases inspired me to design a vivid summer wedding inspiration board filled with pretty details that evoke the summer outdoors or a luxurious beach vacation:

These colours are amazing because you could use them for a beach wedding, paired with white sand and the ocean; or, you could incorporate these colours with wood details for a more rustic-chic wedding.

Either way, the rich blues, greens and yellows give a wonderful jolt of energy…which just really makes me wish it was summer already here in Calgary!
